Aimee Mann est une auteure-compositrice-interprète américaine qui a décroché une carrière dans la musique dans les années 1980 après avoir rejoint le groupe 'Til Tuesday en tant que bassiste et chanteuse. Pendant son temps avec le groupe, c'est elle qui a écrit l'un de leurs 10 meilleurs singles intitulé Voices Carry . Après avoir débuté son album solo intitulé Whatever en 1993, Mann a commencé à sortir plus d'albums et a commencé à enregistrer ses propres chansons en 1999, y compris des chansons pour la bande originale du film Magnolia qui a été réalisé par Paul Thomas Anderson. 1. Her first band was called The Young Snakes. In 1983, the punk band released an EP called Bark Along with the Young Snakes.
2. She’s the sister-in-law of the famous Hollywood actor and Academy Award winner, Sean Penn.
3. In 2000, Mann and her husband Michael formed a concept called Acoustic Vaudeville which was a mixture of music and stand-up comedy. At the time, they were joined by comedians Janeane Garofalo, Patton Oswalt, and David Cross.
4. She had interests in boxing and trained with professional boxing trainer Freddie Roach, who also trains Filipino boxing champ, Manny Pacquiao.
